Bilfinger Europa Continues to be Recognised as Investors In People

Investors In People

Bilfinger Europa Facility Management has again been recognised for its commitment to developing its 3,300 colleagues after achieving the coveted Investors In People (IIP) standard for the third year running.

After undergoing assessment, IIP confirmed that the property and infrastructure support services company continues to meet the requirements of the Standard, which it has now held since it was awarded to the business, previously Europa, in 2011.

Good practice was confirmed in a number of areas in the wider IIP Framework, including people management, communicating the integration into the Bilfinger group, training opportunities, business culture and the recognition and rewards that the business offers to colleagues.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Achieving the Investors in People Standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of. Working with Investors in People inspires and enables leaders, managers and employees at all levels to build their skills, improve their performance and achieve their potential. We’d like to congratulate Bilfinger Europa Facility Management on their achievement.”

The Investors in People (IIP) Standard measures organisations to determine how they realise the potential of their people. Defined and set by business leaders, it covers everything from business planning and leadership, to management effectiveness and performance measurement. The Standard is a benchmark for best practice and offers outcomes to work towards whilst recognising a commitment from a business to developing its people.

Greig Brown, Bilfinger Europa Chief Executive, said: “We continue to believe that our emphasis on people management and development is key to acquiring and satisfying clients and that this elevates us way above our competitors.

“Providing the best possible customer care is an essential aspect of our business and ensuring that our team receives the support and investment in their development is crucial to the delivery of excellent service.“

Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Bilfinger Europa and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their accreditation success, Bilfinger Europa is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
