Commercial robbery examined by BBC on 6th September

Loomis UK have just recently collaborated with the BBC in developing a programme focused on commercial robbery.

The programme, ‘Catch Me If You Can – Armed Robbers’, takes a look some high profile past cases.

In addition, the programme examines CViT (Cash & Valuables in Transit) robbery and challenges these pose to the physical management of cash. It is here that cash management specialist, Loomis UK provides specific insight.

Robert Cummings, Loomis UK’s Head of Loss Prevention shares what the police, Loomis and the CViT industry as a whole, have done to rise to the challenge of these crimes and what the future looks like in fighting them.

Cummings said, “The programme will look to how the nature of the offences has changed since 2007 from being a crime committed primarily by hardened, organised criminals to one committed by largely gang related and committed by much younger criminals and less organised.”

‘Catch Me If You Can – Armed Robbers’ which will be broadcast on Tuesday 6th September at 9pm on BBC 1 and BBC 1 HD.
