Emprise Services plc, leading support services provider, has reached out to a charity that helps unemployed women to regain their confidence and find good jobs.

Known for its strong commitment to community and charity projects, the company was delighted to provide Smart Works with 60 high quality items of workplace clothing including jackets, trousers and skirts.

Based in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham, Smart Works aims to empower and support women to get the jobs they want and move forward with their lives. In 2015 Smart Works dressed and trained over 2000 women for interview and over one in two went on to secure employment. The charity relies entirely on donations and volunteers to keep delivering its transformational services across the UK.

Georgina Albel, UK head of partnerships & volunteers at Smart Works, said: “Many of our clients have been unemployed for a significant amount of time, and as a result, their self-confidence is often extremely low. Being able to offer our clients high quality clothing from organisations like Emprise, enables our stylists to help every woman they work with see her true potential. Our interview volunteers then complete the service by giving them exceptional one to one interview coaching. Thank you for supporting our clients to look and feel their best, and begin to believe in a brighter, more secure future.”

Mark Beadle, Emprise CEO, said, “There’s no doubt that feeling good about your appearance makes a big difference both to the way you present yourself to others and to their perception of you. In a job interview, that sense of confidence and wellbeing can definitely help a person to shine.”

He added: When we heard about the very practical and productive work of Smart Works, we were keen to lend a helping hand. These brand new uniform items, are designed with style and durability in mind and, if our donations can help these ladies to walk away with the job they really want, then that is a fantastic result.”
