Emprise Sponsors a Child in support of Brainwave

Emprise Services plc, leading support services provider, is delighted to announce that it has selected Brainwave as it’s official charity of 2011 and has entered the Brainwave Guardian Scheme.

Brainwave is a charity that works with families throughout the UK to deliver home based therapy and exercise programmes that help children with disabilities and Developmental Delay to achieve their full potential.

As part of the Brainwave Guardian Scheme, Emprise will be funding a year of homebased therapy for Chase, a little boy who lives with his mother and father in London. Chase is nearly 3 years old and has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, which impacts on his general development. Chase has been on Brainwave’s programme of therapy for almost a year and in that time his parents have already seen a significant improvement in his vision, movement, speech and he shows more interest in his environment.

Emprise is delighted to have teamed up with Brainwave to make the organisation its official charity of 2011 and sponsor Chase. Emprise worked with Brainwave over 2010 to support key events the charity hosted last year including their Manchester Duck Race and a World Cup Celebration Dinner to help raise funds for children and their families involved with the scheme. This year, Emprise wanted to continue this relationship and become more closely involved with the charity and children it supports. Emprise will continue its sponsorship of and participation in events alongside the sponsorship of Chase’s therapy.

Emprise is committed to managing the impact of its business on the environment and the society in which it operates to act as a socially responsible business. Emprise believes that corporate responsibility is about a commitment to four main areas: its employees, the community, the environment, and the supply chain.

“We see our partnership with Brainwave as a great way to raise awareness of the important work Brainwave are doing for families, like Chase’s, all across the country. We enjoyed working with Brainwave over 2010 and having seen what a phenomenal contribution Brainwave makes to the families involved, we are only too pleased to show our support and make our own contribution. ” comments Tony Hampson, Executive Director, Operations at Emprise.

Richard Clarke, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Brainwave, comments: “We are delighted that Emprise has funded a year of daily home-based therapy for a little boy from East Dulwich, Chase, who lives with Cerebral Palsy. Thanks to the support of Emprise, Brainwave’s therapists will help Chase to achieve increased strength, head posture and mobility during the year. Our aim is for Chase to reach his full potential with improved freedom of movement and greater independence.”
