Esoteric Ltd’s Emma Shaw announced as one of first Chartered Security Professionals

Emma Shaw, Managing Director of Esoteric Ltd, a leading counterespionage and electronic sweeping company, is one of the first registrants to be admitted to the new Register of Chartered Security Professionals.

Developed by The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals and the Security Institute, the Chartered Security qualification places security practitioners on a par with other recognised professions and provides a means of recognising and maintaining high standards and ongoing proficiency for individuals within the security profession.

Registrants have to comply with a Code of Conduct, a professional disciplinary code, and also complete continuous professional development each year.

Over the last 13 years, Emma has developed Esoteric Ltd into a leading provider of technical surveillance countermeasures and counterespionage services globally.  An MBA graduate, Emma’s early career was spent with the Royal Military Police, followed by a career in the Security Service (MI5).  Emma is also a Director of the Security Institute; a Board Member of the Defence Industry Security Association (DISA), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and is a council member of CSARN.

Emma Shaw said “Having worked within the security profession for many years and successfully completed an MBA, achieving CSyP was the next stage in my career progression. It is also a recognition of my achievements within the security profession and my commitment to the ongoing development of a professionalised security industry which is recognised by the business community”

Emma was presented with her Certificate of Admittance by Don Randall MBE at The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals installation lunch help at Drapers Hall in the City of London last month.
