Europa’s successful partnership with Capital Shopping Centres has been further enhanced with the addition of another shopping centre to the existing portfolio of malls receiving facilities management services.

A £2.8million four year deal with the Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham to provide cleaning, security and control room services has been added to the existing long-term contract that now sees Europa provide facilities management services to 11 Capital Shopping Centres sites.

As a result of this new deal Europa now work in partnership with Capital Shopping Centres at Nottingham’s two largest shopping malls in the Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh shopping centre, as well as four of the UK’s largest centres in the Metrocentre in Gateshead, Eldon Square in Newcastle, Lakeside in Thurrock and Braehead in Glasgow.

Bill Squires, Managing Director of Europa Retail, said “Europa and Capital Shopping Centres continue to develop an exceptional relationship and following on from our recent contract extension we are delighted to have added another shopping centre to our successful partnership.”

Throughout 2011 and early 2012 across the Capital Shopping Centres portfolio Europa delivered cumulative savings in excess of 10%, customer satisfaction scores increased by 10% while employee engagement scores increased by 3%. In addition, 90% of the portfolio is now delivering full waste landfill diversion with all waste either being recycled or utilised for energy production.
