Interconnective Security Products have introduced the CAT S40 and CAT S60 handsets for use with The Partner Online, their cloud based patrol and related management information system. The two handsets are IP68 certified, providing dust and water resistance, and robust, perfectly suited for front line security personnel. Both handsets are also MIL-STD-810G certified, providing resistance against salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock. MIL-STD-810 is a United States Military Standard which emphasises tailoring an equipment’s environmental design and test limits to the conditions that it will experience throughout its service life.

The S60 is extremely  impressive, with 30 hours talk time and 43 days standby time. Arguably the most exciting feature of the CAT S60 is the in-built thermal imaging camera which allows users to capture clear thermal imagery and video and footage. The S60 was the world’s first smart phone with an in-built thermal imaging camera. Images from the S60 have been integrated with the cloud based Partner Online. With an 8 megapixel camera and 2 year manufacturer’s warranty, the CAT S40 offers up to 18 hours talk time and an impressive 39 days standby time. Both handsets incorporate Corning Gorilla Glass 4 touch screen with updated Android software.

Following extensive field trials with customers, both the S40 and S60 are available from Interconnective immediately. The handsets work identically to previous handsets used with The Partner Online, allowing users to pair the mobile devices online and carry out patrols intuitively.

Chris Lanchbury, Technical Sales Executive at Interconnective, said: “When deciding which additional handsets to introduce for use with the Partner Online, we were extremely impressed by the CAT range of phones. With their combination of robustness and practicality, both the CAT S40 and S60 are perfectly suited for use. We welcome all inquiries and invitations to demonstrate our exciting new handsets which will add value to your front line security personnel.”
