Mitie awarded integrated FM contract with Network Rail

The contract, with a total base value in excess of £75m over a five-year period, will see Mitie continue to deliver services across Network Rail’s UK property portfolio.

Mitie will work at over 100 Network Rail buildings across Britain, predominately in the corporate office estate, including the main campus at The Quadrant:MK in Milton Keynes.

Mitie will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of services including fabric and engineering maintenance, energy management, security, cleaning, mailroom & couriers, helpdesk, waste and pest services.

Mitie was awarded the contract extension based on its innovative and technology driven self-delivery capabilities, combined with a distinct cultural approach.

Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, Chief Executive of Mitie, said:

“We are delighted to be building on our long-term strategic partnership with Network Rail and supporting them in delivering better value and efficiency across their business.

“Safety, reliability and efficiency are central to Network Rail’s vision for Britain’s rail infrastructure. We look forward to further developing a tailored and innovative FM strategy, and providing high quality services to support this vision.”

Nigel Bunclark, Director Workplace Management at Network Rail said:

“After a competitive procurement process we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Mitie under the new contract.  It is an opportunity to work together to advance our strategy of providing great workplaces that are value-for-money, fit-for-purpose and sustainable.

“Mitie understands our vision to give our people efficient, effective and engaging workplaces.”
