Mitie awarded security contract with Springfields Fuels Ltd

Mitie, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, has been awarded a security contract with Springfields Fuels Ltd, which was the first plant in the world to produce fuel for a commercial power station.

This contract sees Mitie’s total security management business providing a team of highly trained security operatives who work closely with the local emergency services to provide a safe, secure nuclear environment.

Mitie’s total security management business is the sector leader in critical security environments and has demonstrated its expertise in greenfield, specialist recruitment and mobilisation.

Mitie will work closely with Springfields Fuels’ management team to implement sector specific technologies and innovation to enhance the security delivery based on best practice from across it related portfolio.

Bob Forsyth, managing director of Mitie’s total security management business said:
