SANS’ SEC504: Hacker Techniques, Exploits & Incident Handling, available for the first time in Milan

SANS Institute is hosting its hugely popular SEC504: Hacker Techniques, Exploits & Incident Handling training for the first time in Milan. The course gives an in-depth insight into understanding attackers’ tactics and strategies, enabling InfoSec professionals to find vulnerabilities and discover intrusions, whilst equipping response teams with a comprehensive incident-handling plan.

“The recently updated ‘National Strategic Framework for Cyberspace Security’ published by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers demonstrates the Italian Government’s commitment to helping organisations tackle the growing problem of cyber security,” says Matt Anderson, Director EMEA of the SANS Institute, “The first of eleven guidelines published in the document refers to the need to ‘enhance the expertise of the intelligence community’. As the global leader in information security training, SANS is pleased to bring a world class training course to Milan”

SANS’ Certified Instructor Steve Armstrong will lead the intensive, 6-day training programme, specifically tailored to benefit those who lead or are a part of an incident handling team. SANS’ SEC504: Hacker Techniques, Exploits & Incident Handling also examines the legal issues associated with responding to computer attacks and Incident Handling.

SANS Milan 2014 will be held at the Hotel NH Milanofiori, Milan, Italy from Monday 16th June to Saturday 21st June 2014.

The SANS Institute was established in 1989 as a cooperative research and education organization. SANS is the most trusted, and by far the largest source for world-class information security training and security certification in the world offering over 50 training courses. GIAC, an affiliate of the SANS Institute, is a certification body featuring over 27 hands-on, technical certifications in information security. SANS offers a myriad of free resources to the InfoSec community including consensus projects, research reports, and newsletters; and it operates the Internet’s early warning system – the Internet Storm Center. At the heart of SANS are the many security practitioners in varied global organizations from corporations to universities working together to help the entire information security community.
