Unipart Security Solutions announce winner of Officer of the Year Award

Jamie Wilkinson and Colin Moore

The contribution by individual members of staff to the success of Unipart Security Solutions was acknowledged at the Company’s annual awards which took place at Coombe Abbey, Coventry on 6th April.

“We were delighted to have the opportunity to recognise and show our appreciation to colleagues who have ensured that we not only met our contractual obligations but have in fact on many occasions exceeded our clients’ expectations,” said Colin Moore, Managing Director of Unipart Security Solutions. “A key component of ‘Security – the Unipart Way’ is a commitment to look for continual improvement in everything we do. Our colleagues who were recognised at the awards ceremony have enthusiastically embraced this philosophy and have done so in an extremely professional manner”.

Officer of the Year was awarded to Jamie Wilkinson who is based at a distribution centre in Magna Park, Lutterworth, whilst the Team of the Year award was won by the security team based at Mercedes-Benz high performance engine plant in Brixworth. A Special Recognition Team award was given to personnel at Unipart Security Solutions new Monitoring and Response Centre for their efforts which has resulted in the Centre going operational within nine months of the empty building being acquired.

The awards are open to all security officers and investigations personnel working for the Unipart Group or their clients who have performed acts of security excellence on the front line during the previous year.  Nominations for the awards can be made by all Unipart Security Solutions personnel with the winners judged by senior management.

The growing stature of the Unipart Security Solutions’ annual awards was reflected in the venue Coombe Abbey, originally a 12th century Cistercian abbey surrounded by 500 acres of parkland, has been magnificently  restored and converted into a prestigious hotel and conference centre.
