William Lyle ex Detective Superintendent for the Met Police joins CIS Security as Head of Security for King’s College London

William Lyle former Detective Superintendent for the Met Police has been appointed by CIS Security as Head of Security for King’s College London,one of the oldest and largest colleges of the University of London, ranked 19th in the world.

‘Bill’ is a qualified Senior Investigating Officer and recognised expert in crisis and event management, specialist law enforcement and surveillance techniques.  He has managed and reviewed numerous high profile operations including international sporting events, and notably the investigation of the London 2011 riots, bringing over 3000 offenders to justice and managing 650 officers and support workers.  An energetic, creative senior leader, with excellent communication skills, experienced in delivering briefings and presentations at the very highest level.

Bill’s role will focus on management support and mentoring of the Security Management Team, whilst providing strategic advice and security intelligence to stakeholders at King’s CollegeLondon ensuring that the objectives of their Strategic Plan which is ‘tobecome an outstanding university institution comparable in all respects with the best in the world’ are met in terms of security and risk management.
