ASIS International Young Professionals Task Force

David St John-Claire, Business Development Director of  business support and security services provider Resourse (UK) Limited has been appointed as the ASIS UK chapter representative to the ASIS International Young Professionals Task Force.

Young Professionals Mission Statement:

The ASIS Young Professionals Group holds as their mission the development and education of young careerists in the security industry. The group is established upon high standards for members, ethical conduct, quality offerings, and a progressive program for the development of young professionals.

The goal is to create a comfortable environment for this segment of up-and-coming members and future leaders. Some of the priorities this year will be to create an engaging learning environment at the international and local chapter level, appointing Chapter Young Professional Liaisons, developing forums for communication throughout the society, and encouraging mentorship opportunities.

The definition of a young professional would typically include someone who is less than 40 years of age or less than five years in the security profession, but participation is encouraged from all those passionate about this initiative, regardless of age or experience.
