Rentokil Initial Acquire Knightsbridge

Rentokil Initial plc, one of the world’s leading providers of business support services, has announced the acquisitions of Knightsbridge Guarding Holdings Limited and Perception UK LLP for a total cash consideration of £6.9 million. Both businesses will become part of the Company’s Initial Facilities Services division and will enable it to strengthen its position in the UK’s integrated facilities market. The acquired businesses generated combined revenues of £33.8 million in the last financial year.

Rentokil Initial is one of the largest business services companies in the world, operating in all the major economies of Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Africa.  The company has some 68,000 employees providing a range of support services in over 50 countries.  Services include textiles and washroom services, pest control, tropical plants, parcels delivery and facilities services.

Knightsbridge Holdings is the 17th largest security provider in the UK and will build upon Rentokil Initial’s existing manned guarding offering.  It has a strong reputation as an expert provider of high calibre, bespoke security specifically for the corporate sector. Perception UK LLP is a ‘front of house’ business which provides services to flagship buildings throughout London. Services offered include the provision of receptionists, fresh flowers, seasonal decorations, newspapers, revolving artwork and music. For the year ended 30 September 2009 Knightsbridge Holdings generated revenue of £32.5m.  For the year ended 31 December 2009 Perception UK generated revenue of £1.3m.
