| When ISS Pegasus Security was awarded a large prestigious city security contract, they realised the need for fresh ideas that would not only add value to their partnership with the client, but also for their staff. Since then ISSP have initiated changes, which have streamlined their operation through innovation; increasing productivity and engendering the support and commitment of the staff.
Understanding
the importance of “partnership” has led ISSP to focus more specifically on the
relationship between ISS Pegasus management and the men and women on the ground,
who remain at all times the backbone of the organisation and without whom none
of their successes over the last two years would have been possible. ISS Pegasus
has worked hard to ensure that each employee knows the value of the part they
play in the smooth running of the contract.
One of the many
ways they have celebrated this partnership has been a recent company event held
for employees and their families.
Adrian
Moore – Account Director said,
"We spend most
of our time at work and the reality is that our domestic and personal lives
impinge on our work, so to say we can separate the two is unrealistic.
Family
fun days should be an important part of corporate life. They are an extremely
effective method of promoting a corporate culture that inspires increased levels
of employee engagement and therefore productivity. The most important asset of
any company is the employees and they are a resource well worth investing in”,
Originally
intended to be a picnic in Hyde Park, forecasted poor weather compelled a change
to the arrangements. With only 48 hours to go before the picnic event organiser,
Jalani Steyn, launched a search for an alternative venue. Eventually, the Mappin
Pavilion at the London Zoo was chosen. Set in 36 acres of zoological gardens,
the graceful Mappin Pavilion, a Grade II-listed building with floor-to-ceiling
windows, overlooks both Regent’s Park & the wallabies of the “Australian
Outback” enclosure. Children’s entertainment was provided by Jilly Jam Jar, a
seasoned professional, who kept the children amused with games, face painting
and balloon modelling. It was not only the children who were involved in the
games, as many of the adults present were made to join in.
Lunch was
followed by a walk through the Zoo, and a raffle prize draw, the proceeds of
which were donated to Cancer Research UK.
A successful
event which has reaffirmed ISS Pegasus' commitment to their employees and their
partnership!
