| During his first visit to the North East of England, Russ Collett, Chief Operating Officer with the Chicago-based international security company, IPC International says: “This is an exciting time for our firm. The future is bright as we expand our UK operations: We are confident despite the recession - we are recruiting in the UK. We are regionalising, and modernising our service offerings to ensure we deliver the highest quality service to our UK clients”, said Russ Collett. Prior to being appointed COO at IPC he was on Presidents Clinton and George W Bush Secret Service security details. He was also involved in overseeing Senator Obama’s security detail in Chicago during the US Presidential Election 2008. IPC International Corporation is a large global player in the security sector, based in the USA, with over 30 years experience, managing security and safety in over 500 shopping centres worldwide.
Speaking to the media, today, along with Robert Nutt, Group Financial Officer
from IPC International Corporation’s head office and Mark Partridge, CEO at IPC
Security (UK), Russ, added: “We have never felt better about our investment in
the UK security sector. Our investment in new staff, systems and services
continues to underpin our growth and we have opened new branches in Scotland
(East Kilbride) and South of the UK (Surrey). We anticipate continued, solid
growth and employment opportunities across the UK. Current indicators suggest we
will recruit some 500 people in the next 18 months”. The integration of the IPC
International ethos and service approach into the UK organization brings, not
only change of name, but an energized culture based on practical knowledge and
experience and supported through increased knowledge management across the
global organization into the UK.
The strengthened relationship between the IPC Security and its American parent
provides a platform for continued expansion from IPC Security’s position as a
major employer in the North East of the UK. Investments in terms of systems,
recruitment, customer services and training facilities, combined with the
injection of IPC International service ethos will continue to benefit existing
as well as new customers. IPC Security (UK) will continue to add to its already
impressive portfolio of shopping centre, retail, transport, aviation, and public
sector clients across the country.
Mark Partridge, CEO, IPC Security (UK), said: “We are delighted to welcome Russ
and Robert to IPC Security (UK)’s office here in Newcastle. It shows the head
office’s commitment to the UK and is a vote of confidence in the future. I want
to thank Russ and Robert for their time and support they have given me and all
the UK staff. It is greatly appreciated. Russ is an interesting guy with a
fascinating CV and security experience which is second-to-none.”
