| V&A MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD TOP PRIZE FOR SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER |
|
| Wilson James has scooped the top prize at the 2009 IFSEC Security Industry
Awards winning joint first place alongside Carlisle Security, for their service provision to Merseyrail Electrics,in the Guarding Service Delivery to the Customer category.
In an unusual turn of events, the Judges selecting the winners concluded that they
could not choose between the two frontrunners due to the distinct differences in
service delivery. Therefore both Wilson James and Carlisle Security were named
as champions.
The 'Guarding Service Delivery to the Customer'
category is
designed to recognise security companies who have proposed and delivered
innovative solutions for their client, above and beyond normal contractual
arrangements.
The
judges were looking for the most exciting and innovative security project.
Wilson James Customer Service Manager, Terry McAndrew, who collected the award,
and Alan McGregor, Operations Manager for the Museum, attended the presentation
ceremony and gala dinner which was held in Birmingham on 11th May 2009.
Wilson James has been providing a range of security related services to the
museum since 2003 and currently have approximately 21 members of staff on-site.
The Activity Assistants are the most important element of the service Wilson
James provides to the Museum, due to their constant interaction with visiting
children.
During the
awards process, Alan McGregor, Operations Manager at the Museum commented:
'Whilst writing my letter of endorsement I was reminded of the enormous value
the Wilson James team brings to the Museum and the local community. This value
is gained through their patience and their willingness to listen and explore new
ideas. Their attitudes are of tremendous benefit to the Museum and I am
convinced the team are great role models to youngsters on school visits and from
the local area'.
