Advance Security UK Ltd has successfully won the contract to provide an integrated security solution for Mothercare Plc
Over the past seventeen years Advance has built a strong working partnership with Mothercare, successfully managing their entire UK manned guarding and key holding contract. So, when Mothercare announced that they wanted to rationalise their security operation and amalgamate all their security services under one contract, Advance was a natural contender. As Chris Fieldhouse, Retail Director, explains, ‘Whilst Advance specialises in retail security and has built a superb reputation for the provision of manned guarding services in this sector, we have, to a certain extent, hidden our light under a bushel when it comes to our integrated security services. But as more customers move towards having one security provider, for all their security requirements, our strengths in this arena are coming to the fore’.
As part of the contract with Mothercare, Advance will, in conjunction with manned guarding and key holding, be responsible for the installation, maintenance and monitoring of CCTV, intruder fire alarms, safes, counter cache and other store security equipment.
The most positive aspect of having one security supplier is the amount of time saved by Mothercare’s security team, the other, of course, is the financial impact. As Mark Ricketts, UK Group Profit Protection Manager, Mothercare states ‘Having worked with Advance Security for many years, they were the natural choice of partner for Mothercare as we looked to integrate all of our security requirements. As such, we have been able to streamline our operation considerably saving both time and money, two precious commodities in the retail sector’
