G4S celebrates 30 years of safeguarding the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St Andrews

G4S Secure Solutions (‘G4S’), the UK’s leading security company, celebrates 30 years of successfully securing the Home of Golf, Royal and Ancient (R & A) Golf Club of St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.

To mark the occasion, Andrew King, Sales and Marketing Director at G4S Secure Solutions (UK), presented a commemorative crystal bowl to Peter Dawson, R&A Secretary and Chief Executive, to thank the club for their loyalty and support over the years.

G4S provides security support and patrol officers at the club including the St. Andrew’s Golf Museum and the iconic Clubhouse, which is the home of the prestigious British Open Championship Claret Jug. Past captains of the clubhouse include HRH Prince Andrew and Air Chief Marshal, Sir Patrick Hine.

The security provision for the R&A club is provided through G4S’s dedicated events business. G4S Events is Europe’s leading safety and security specialist and has provided tailor made security solutions for functions ranging from T in the Park in Scotland, the V Festival in Staffordshire, to The British Grand Prix at Silverstone and The Championships, Wimbledon.
