Securitas has announced the appointment of new Director of Fire and Safety Services, Paul Rankin.
A seasoned aviation professional with 30 years’ airport operations & safety experience, Paul joins the security firm from Regional and City Airports Limited where, as Director of Regulatory Compliance and Head of Airfield Operations, he was responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of airports within the management services division.
As Director of Fire and Safety Services, Paul will help further develop the capability and service delivery of Securitas to exceed the expectations of existing and new clients in the delivery of fire and safety services.

Brian Riis Nielsen, Country President at Securitas, said: “Paul is an experienced and inspirational leader with an impressive track record of senior management within a highly regulated industry. We are delighted to welcome him to the team at this exciting time as we look to further develop our full range of fire and safety services.”
The appointment follows the recent announcement that Securitas has been awarded the contract to provide security solutions for leading aircraft manufacturer, Airbus.
Paul said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Securitas team and I’m confident we can grow the Fire and Safety Services Division by building on the great foundations which are already in place. My aspiration is to work with the team to ensure the Division soon becomes the market leader in this area.”
Prior to, and during, his time at Regional and City Airports, Paul was Airport Director at Blackpool Airport, successfully leading the team through a number of operational and organisational challenges. He was previously also part of the successful senior management team at Bristol Airport, having had responsibility for many aspects of the operation during his employment, including the Fire Service where he had spent the early part of his career as Deputy Chief Fire Officer.
