In addition, the Securitas Good Customer Award, in association with RISK-UK was presented to Hertfordshire University. This special accolade is designed to reward those customers who have contributed greatly to an improvement in the standards and perception of the security industry as a whole.
The evening raised £2,580 for this year’s dedicated charity, Wooden Spoon (the Children’s Charity of Rugby), funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support disadvantaged and disabled children
Securitas Country President Brian Riis Nielsen said: “These Awards offer a rare chance to bring together our customers, partners and suppliers to celebrate the achievements of our people and I’m very proud of each and every one of them.
“They also recognise that our officers are not simply chasing intruders but, in some cases, they are actually saving lives and I believe it’s very important that we continue to highlight their endeavours which go far beyond the duties of a typical security officer.”
