Securitas has established a new business line, Security Risk Management (SRM), as part of changes to its Group Management structure.
SRM is described as an end-to-end, intelligence-led approach focused on identifying, assessing and responding to client-specific risks. The model is intended to support proactive security measures, accelerate crisis response and enable adaptable security programmes, combining physical and digital capabilities.
The new unit brings together Pinkerton, Liferaft, and Securitas’ existing Risk Intelligence operations. The division will be led by Matt Ellis, who has been appointed President of Security Risk Management and joins Group Management.
Alongside this change, the company is integrating development of its digital platform and artificial intelligence capabilities with its IT organisation. This will be overseen by Hillevi Agranius, Group CIO and member of Group Management.
As part of the transition, Marthin Althén will leave Group Management. Other members of the leadership team remain in their roles. The changes take effect from April 1, 2026.
“I am delighted to welcome Matt Ellis to Securitas. Matt is an outstanding thought leader who has built one of the most sophisticated global security and risk programs in the industry. His experience from highly complex, global security environments in a tech-forward organization makes him exceptionally well-suited to build and scale this important new business. I would also like to sincerely thank Martin Althén for being an active and essential contributor to Group Management over the past decade”, says Magnus Ahlqvist, President and CEO of Securitas.
