This year’s ASIS European Security Conference & Exhibition in London will be protected by security officers provided by Securitas UK. The event, which will be held from 6 to 8 April at the Business Design Centre in Islington, is attended by the most senior security professionals in Europe and promises a full conference programme, panel debates and an exhibition showcasing the best in cutting-edge security services and solutions.
Delegates can also take advantage of a number of behind-the-scenes professional security tours of some of London’s landmark buildings including the British Museum. As well as providing the on-site security, Securitas will be a Platinum sponsor of the event and will have representatives on hand to provide information about its protective services and solutions approach.
As part of the conference programme, Russell Handley, Securitas Regional Business Development Director for City of London, will deliver a presentation on ‘Intelligent Security: using technology to make smarter security decisions’. The presentation will discuss how to develop greater business intelligence by harnessing the big data gathered through increasingly sophisticated and innovative security technology to provide greater business intelligence, leading to insights that influence key business decisions.
Securitas security officers will welcome over 600 visitors who are expected to attend the three-day event and will provide access control for the meeting and exhibition areas as well as security protection to attending dignitaries and speakers. Having undertaken a full risk assessment of the main venue and evening event locations, Securitas will be working closely with ASIS and other national agencies including the police, to ensure the event is a success.”
David Clark , Chair of ASIS UK Chapter 208, said: “I was delighted when it was confirmed that Securitas would be supporting the ASIS European Conference this year. The very nature of the event means that it is both high profile and high risk and this, of course, presents many challenges. As the UK Chapter Chairman, it is essential for me that this event is safe, secure and that there is minimum impact on delegates despite extraordinary security measures having to be in place.”
“I am confident that Securitas will meet and exceed the security requirements for the event from initial risk assessment through to event closure and de-installation. ASIS is very well supported by Securitas and I am sure that maximum effort will be given to ensure the safety and security of the venue and our people.”
