Michael Lamoureaux, Managing Director of Security for facilities management provider Servest Group, is to participate in a discussion forum at IFSEC International 2014, the largest event for the security industry in the UK.
IFSEC International, taking place from 17-19 June at the ExCeL London, brings together the entire security buying chain in one place including more than 24,000 visitors and over 650 leading manufacturers, suppliers and distributors from 100 countries.
Lamoureaux is to participate in the Security Guarding: blueprint for the future discussion forum, which takes place on the 18th June from 3-4pm on the Centre Stage. It is one of a series of forums running as part of the IFSEC International Academy, developed by IFSEC to offer participants access to speakers, content and expertise to further their educational and training needs.
Lamoureaux is joined on the forum by other influential industry leaders: Brian Riis Nielsen, Managing Director and Country President of Securitas Security Services UK; Bob Forsyth, Managing Director of MITIE Total Security Management; Simon Pears, Global Security Director of Sodexo; Jonathan Levine, CEO of Axis Security Group; and Gemma Quirke, Managing Director Security of Wilson James.
The panel is set to discuss what the guarding sector will, and should, look like in the next five to 10 years and what best practice should be going forward. The discussion is influenced by the fact that the security guarding sector is going through a period of huge change, thanks in part to the ongoing march of technology.
“I am delighted to be on this forum at IFSEC International 2014 to examine some of the key issues and trends defining the future of the security guardian sector and to look at best practice going forward,” said Lamoureaux who began his career in the industry as a security officer some 18 years ago and quickly progressed through the ranks, holding senior management positions for SME and PLC businesses and delivering total security solutions across various sectors.
