Leading security specialist VSG is certified as a Britain’s Top Employer 2013. Based on independent research conducted by the CRF Institute, VSG which is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland offers its employees outstanding working conditions and looks after its staff exceptionally well.

The CRF Institute, a specialist in the field of international research into HR management and working conditions, has just completed this year’s research into the HR policies and practices of a large number of employers in Britain. VSG is one of the few organisations that received the Britain’s Top Employers 2013 certification.

The organisations examined were assessed on the following criteria: Primary Benefits, Secondary Benefits and Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development, and Culture Management. Only those organisations that met the stringent research criteria received the Britain’s Top Employers certification.

Fiona Ryland, HR Director for VSG said: “We employ more than 6,000 people in the UK. We know our employees are the heart of our business. Taking good care of them is of vital importance for the success of our company and we do everything we can to be a good employer. Being named one of Britain’s Top Employers 2013 shows that we are doing as well as we had hoped. We are extremely proud to be part of this exclusive group of great employers”.

Eleanor Nickerson, Manager of UK Operations for the CRF Institute said: “The economy has been tough for the UK during the past year, but we’ve consistently seen our certified Top Employers showing that they value their talent by making sure that they have outstanding employee offerings in place. We’ve also seen a shift towards more coaching, mentoring and training, as employers seek to ensure that they develop employees and that attractive career opportunities are in place for them. We have seen a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes, that are well-thought-out and truly aligned with the culture of each company.
