KeyPlus Expands into West Yorkshire with Acquisition of Guardian Security Installation

BURNLEY, UK – KeyPlus Security Ltd has completed the acquisition of Keighley-based Guardian Security Installations Ltd (GSI), marking an expansion of its operations across the North of England.

The acquisition extends KeyPlus’s coverage into West Yorkshire, creating a continuous operational corridor between Lancashire and West Yorkshire. It also strengthens the company’s technical capabilities in fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and remote monitoring, complementing its existing services in mobile patrols, key holding, alarm response, and manned guarding.

Guardian Security Installations has established a reputation in West Yorkshire for the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems. KeyPlus will retain the existing team and Keighley office to ensure continuity of service and preserve local knowledge and client relationships.

Brian Curran, Chief Executive of KeyPlus, said:

“This is an important milestone for us. Guardian Security Installations has earned trust through consistent delivery and strong local relationships. That aligns perfectly with how we operate at KeyPlus.
This is about evolution, not revolution. Clients will continue working with the same people they know, now supported by the wider infrastructure, accreditations and 24-hour response capability of KeyPlus.”

Following the acquisition, KeyPlus now manages security across more than 2,000 sites in the North of England, providing multi-location businesses and organisations with combined physical and electronic security solutions.

The deal was supported by funding from Barclays Bank under the Government-backed Growth Guarantee Scheme, with 80 percent financed through debt and 20 percent self-funded by KeyPlus. Advisory support was provided by Blackstone Solicitors, The CFO Centre, and PM+M Accountants.

This acquisition aligns with KeyPlus’s long-term strategy to grow through both organic expansion and acquisitions, while maintaining a strong regional focus and service-oriented approach.
