Security Firm Expands Technology Services as Systems Revenue Quadruples

MAN Commercial Protection has reported a fourfold increase in revenue from its systems solutions over the past year, reflecting a growing demand for integrated security technology.

The company, which serves clients across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, commercial, and retail sectors, recorded orders for its CCTV monitoring, intruder detection systems, and remote access technology reaching £400,000.

CEO Iain McCallister highlighted that the company’s focus on technology complements its established security services, including security guarding, key holding, and concierge services, which it has provided for more than three decades.

“Whilst people will always be the heartbeat of our sector, we are aware of how new advancements in security systems can deliver greater efficiencies and potential cost savings for certain scenarios,” said Daniel Moseley, Technical Director of MAN Commercial Protection.

He added: “That is why we’ve spent the last three years exploring new technology and innovations that we believe can add value to the MAN approach – we now have a comprehensive hybrid guarding model, combining on-site officers with technology, that can be tailored to suit the requirements and resources of all customers.”

Moseley noted that orders for the systems reflect this approach, with sales reaching £400,000 and the potential for further growth in 2026.

Employing 1,500 people, MAN Commercial Protection provides concierge, CCTV monitoring, security guarding, systems solutions, and keyholding services, while also supporting high-profile boxing, sporting, and music events.

Two years ago, the company introduced E-Guard intruder detection systems, which provide real-time alerts to clients. The solar-powered units, suitable for vacant properties, construction sites, and office blocks, cover a 30-metre radius and can be installed in around two hours.

The range of systems is expanding, and the company recently completed a £200,000 upgrade to its 24/7 remote control room at its West Midlands headquarters. Control room operatives monitor HD CCTV cameras, motion detectors, and alarm systems, providing continuous oversight and remote access to client sites. This setup enables preventative protection and analysis of patterns in suspicious activity.

A recent example of operational improvements is Britannia Shopping Centre in Hinckley. Following a bespoke security review, MAN Commercial Protection reduced the out-of-hours security presence and introduced remote CCTV monitoring with analytic software, allowing remote access to key areas via the 24/7 control room. A mobile response service was also deployed to address incidents, delivering cost savings for the client.

Claus Andersen, Commercial Director, said: “Every client receives an initial security review, and this explores their requirements and their budgets. From there, we devise the best possible security solution that delivers protection, value and customer satisfaction. With the recent investment in technology, we know we are offering innovations that really make a difference.”

He added: “We’re not stopping there. Our tech team are currently integrating AI-assisted video analytics, the latest drones, and digital site performance management, and launching a new client dashboard to track KPIs and incidents.”
