Amthal Group Companies has added a wireless intruder alarm platform to its residential security offer with the introduction of AirShield, developed by Dahua Technology.
The move reflects demand for professionally installed systems that combine remote management, integrated devices and app-based control, while allowing core functionality to operate without ongoing subscription requirements.
AirShield brings together intrusion detection, video verification and intercom features within a single system environment, operated via Dahua’s DMSS mobile application. From the app, users can arm or disarm the system, receive alarm notifications and review associated events.
Paul Rosenthal, Group Business Development Director at Amthal, said: “AirShield aligns closely with how Amthal approaches security system design: professionally specified, technically robust and straightforward for users to manage. Our partnership with Dahua allows us to deliver a wireless solution that integrates intrusion detection, video surveillance and system control within a single platform, while maintaining the levels of reliability, resilience and long-term monitoring support our clients expect.”
The platform enables near real-time visual alarm verification and remote system control through a single interface. Alarm devices, cameras and access control components are linked within one ecosystem, with installation and maintenance carried out on a professional basis.
Communication between the hub and field devices uses Dahua’s wireless protocol, which incorporates encryption and frequency hopping. Zone-based configuration allows separate areas of a property to be set independently.
PIR camera detectors provide image snapshots when alarms are triggered, allowing users and Amthal’s monitoring partner, EMCS, to assess activations and filter out false alarms.
Alvin Qian, General Manager for Dahua Technology UK, said: “AirShield reflects Dahua’s approach to integrated security, combining AIoT technologies with practical, everyday usability. Amthal’s support for the system aligns with our focus on professional system design, compliance and long-term support, all with no ongoing subscription costs. It helps ensure AirShield is specified, installed and maintained to the highest standards.”
For installers and service providers, the system is supported by DoLynk Care, which provides remote diagnostics, firmware updates and system health monitoring to reduce routine site visits.
