MAN Commercial Protection Targets £100m Turnover

MAN Commercial Protection has announced plans to accelerate its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity over the next year as part of its strategy to reach a £100 million revenue milestone.

Chief Executive Officer Iain McCallister confirmed that the Solihull-based firm is exploring acquisition opportunities across the UK, with a focus on established security providers generating between £5 million and £30 million in annual revenue. The company is particularly interested in businesses specialising in security guarding or electronic systems.

This marks the first time MAN Commercial Protection has pursued a formal M&A strategy in its 32-year history, signalling the next phase in its long-term expansion plan.

“2025 has been another strong year of organic growth, delivering tailored solutions for our corporate clients and high-profile events, such as the record-breaking Oasis concerts — that was a real privilege to be involved in,” said McCallister.

“Revenues have passed £67 million and we are justifiably proud of this performance, especially considering the volatile economic times we’ve faced. However, to move us forward at the pace we want, we are now turning our attention to acquisitions and we’re already having some interesting conversations.”

McCallister added that discussions with several brokers are already underway and that he expects to complete at least one deal before the end of 2026.

“Our teams work all over the UK so there’s no barrier to geography. We’re more interested in finding the business that shares our values and desire to deliver the best safety solutions in the industry,” he said.

The company currently employs nearly 1,500 staff and provides a range of services including concierge, CCTV monitoring, security guarding, systems integration, and keyholding. MAN Commercial is also active in the events sector, supporting high-profile sporting and music events as well as boxing promotions.

Recent partnerships include a new agreement with National League football club Solihull Moors, and continued support for Solihull Summerfest. The firm is also preparing to provide security services for Summerfest on the Beach in Weston-super-Mare in June 2026.

Alongside its operational growth, MAN Commercial continues to invest in its training centre in Solihull, expanding its portfolio of courses for security professionals and corporate clients. Training covers areas such as first aid and Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensing.

“Any acquisition we make must complement our culture, which is family-focused and people-first,” McCallister explained. “This is so important to us, and I want this to continue — so that’s one of the key pre-requisites of any transaction.”

He also noted that upcoming legislation and technological developments are reshaping the security industry. “New regulations, including Martyn’s Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act) and the proposed Cyber Security & Resilience Bill, will continue to have an impact, and there is a shift towards cloud-based monitoring and remote operations, again requiring stronger cybersecurity,” he said.

“AI, like in most parts of the business world, will become even more prevalent. I’m sure we’ll see more use of Artificial Intelligence in video analytics, threat detection and predictive alerts. This is progress, but it can also be exploited by attackers. We’re investing heavily in overcoming these increasing cyber threats.”
