“I am ecstatic. Today is probably one of the biggest days of my business life. There are over 5 million SME’s in the UK. So to even make the list and be recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer means the absolute world. Even more so as this is based on opinions from our team.
Managing Director, Peter Harrison commented:
“Business is about so much more than just money; if we can put a bit of good back into the world then brilliant. As always, I just want to thank all the people in our team who work so hard to make this happen.”
How has the Sunday Times Top Best 100 Small Companies to Work for List been compiled?
The Best Companies Survey comprises of statements for employees to score from ‘strongly agree’ to ‘strongly disagree’ on a seven-point scale. These then fall into seven categories, which are: Leadership, Well-being, My Manager, My Team, Fair Deal, Giving Something Back, My Company and Personal Growth.
The list then analyses the replies to questionnaires asking employees how happy they are with all areas of their working life.
Founder and chief executive of Best Companies, Jonathan Austin says:
“It’s my great pleasure to confirm that you have achieved, our 3 Star accreditation status. This means your organisation has shown extraordinary levels of engagement. You are one of the Top 100 best small companies to work for in 2019, congratulations!”
The ranking shows that FGH employees had plenty of positive things to say about their job, the culture and the company they work for.
As a growing company, FGH is dedicated to building the company on strong foundations by having the Best Trained Team possible. Operations Manager for Lancashire & Cumbria, Kevin Blakemore says the secret to his success is looking for the friendliest people to join his team.

Security Manager at FGH, Lewis Walsh added;
“Without the guys on the frontline who work on the doors, sites, events and in the fields we wouldn’t be here. A great achievement that quantifies the hard work everyone puts in day in day out.”
