Outstanding Loss Prevention Awards launched ahead of ORIS-CON ’27 collaboration

ospaslogoThe Outstanding Loss Prevention Awards (OLPAs) have been formally launched as a new independent awards programme recognising achievement across the loss prevention sector.

The awards will recognise individuals, teams and organisations operating across the industry, with a focus on innovation, operational impact and professional standards. Entries will be free of charge, with nominations open to the wider loss prevention community.

According to the organisers, the awards framework has been structured around independent governance and ethical oversight. Judges will be appointed independently rather than by the organisers, with the process intended to support transparency and sector representation.

UKPAC has been confirmed as headline sponsor, while the awards will be delivered in collaboration with ORIS-CON ’27. Neither organisation will be involved in appointing judges or participating in the judging process.

Martin Gill, Founder of the OLPAs, said:

“The launch of the OLPAs marks an important step forward for the loss prevention sector. These awards shine a light on the work undertaken to protect assets, reduce theft and fraud, minimise operational risk, and strengthen organisational resilience through effective security and risk-management practices, while celebrating those making a real difference.”

The first OLPAs ceremony is scheduled to take place during a gala dinner on 16 March 2027 at the VOX Birmingham alongside ORIS-CON ’27.

Louise Kadege, CEO of ORIS, commented:

“We are delighted to collaborate with such a highly respected organisation, renowned for its expertise in delivering independent and credible award programmes. Partnering with the OLPAs in their inaugural year reflects our shared commitment to innovation and professional excellence. Hosting the awards alongside ORIS-CON will provide a valuable opportunity to bring the sector together to recognise outstanding achievement across the industry.”
