MS Webb & Co admitted to BSIA Vacant Property Protection Section

MS Webb & Co Limited has joined the Vacant Property Protection (VPP) Section of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the trade body representing more than 70 per cent of the UK private security industry by turnover.

The VPP Section represents specialist providers involved in the protection of vacant and vulnerable properties through measures including remotely monitored alarm systems, CCTV, mobile patrols, physical security measures and occupation-based protection models. The section also contributed to the development of British Standard BS 8584, which sets out requirements for vacant property protection services.

Membership of the section requires companies to meet a range of criteria covering quality assurance, operational management, financial stability and compliance with recognised British and European standards and codes of practice.

“Being welcomed into the BSIA’s Vacant Property Protection Section is an important milestone for MS Webb,” said Greg Webb, co-owner and Director. “It reinforces our focus on delivering compliant, audit-ready vacant property solutions that reduce risk, control cost and protect our clients’ reputations, while giving them confidence that our services meet nationally recognised standards.”

Joe Webb, co-owner and Director, added: “Our teams work on some of the most challenging vacant and distressed sites, where risk can escalate quickly if it is not properly managed. BSIA membership underlines the confidence our clients can place in MS Webb to provide robust, flexible and accountable protection for their assets.”

As part of the VPP Section, MS Webb will participate in industry meetings and working groups focused on standards, policy development and operational best practice relating to vacant and distressed property protection.

The company provides protection services for a range of sites including commercial premises, residential developments, infrastructure projects and regeneration properties. Its admission to the BSIA section comes amid continuing demand for compliant security solutions across the vacant property sector.
