Top Regional Security Experts in attendance at the CACOG Security Forum in Baku

IRN hosted the inaugural Central Asia and Caspian Oil & Gas Security Forum 2014 on 8th-9th April at the Fairmont Flame Towers Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The highly regarded meeting addressed pressing issues such as community engagement challenges in the region, regional terrorism potential, crisis management, maritime security, security control system management, information sharing, new technologies in cyber-security, pipeline protection, and offshore systems security. In light of evolving threats, delegates were able to partake in a workshop on building a counter terrorism threat response plan.

The Forum was held under the Chatham House rule, and officials from SOCAR opened proceedings with a welcome speech.
