Wavestore enters into collaboration with BCDVideo to launch new WR-Series NVRs

A new NVR solution launched by Wavestore utilises powerful video processing technology from BCDVideo. The Range of WRE-Seies NVRs have been engineered for the efficient processing and storage of video and are complementary to Wavestore’s feature-rich video management software (VMS).

The WR-Series, which is powered by Dell EMC, features the latest generation Intel Xeon processors, with RAID capabilities, redundant power supplies on most models and worldwide remote secured system management. These systems also include high-performance enterprise-grade hard drive technology.

“We are pleased to have been able to form a technology and supply partnership with BCDVideo who have an excellent reputation for coping with the exacting demands of Enterprise level video surveillance applications,” states Julian Inman, Head of Product Management for Wavestore.

“Our confidence in the reliability and effectiveness of the WR-Series is underpinned by a five-year warranty which includes next day on-site hardware support services as standard to carry out activities such as replacing faulty in-warranty hard drives and, for enhanced data security, this includes data media retention, leaving any replaced hard drive on the premises for proper customer disposal. An optional four-hour response service in metropolitan areas is also available for mission-critical sites.”

Wavestore WR-Series NVRs are available in rack-mountable 64, 128 and 254 channel versions and are designed to offer a robust and reliable recording, management and control solution for medium to large size video surveillance projects.

WR14: Accommodates up to 4 x 3.5” hard drives in a 1U chassis to provide up to 32 TB of storage. Thanks to industry-leading throughput, end users can typically expect 31 days of continuous real-time recording from 54 Full-HD cameras

WR212: Supplied with RAID and dual redundant power-supply as standard for increased fault-tolerance, WR 28 NVRs can accommodate up to 12 x 3.5” hot-swappable hard drives to provide up to 96 TB of storage. End users can typically expect 31 days of continuous real-time recording from more than 120 Full-HD cameras

WR216: Accommodates four internal and up to 12 x 3.5″ hot-swappable hard drives in a 2U chassis to provide a capacity of up to 128 TB of storage. WR216 Series NVRs are also supplied with RAID and dual redundant power supply as standard for increased fault tolerance. Here, end users can typically expect 31 days of continuous real-time recording from more than 200 Full-HD cameras

“Working with Wavestore’s engineers on the design of the recording servers afforded BCDVideo the ability to bring an innovative integrated solution into the product portfolio,” stated Eugene Kozlovitser, technology director at BCDVideo.

“Purpose-built for Wavestore, this joint technology helps to ensure the WR Series will be the best performing system for their customers’ physical security needs.”

The WR Series is complementary to other NVRs and HVRs available from Wavestore, making it easy for end users to pick the right solution for their own requirements. The models also feature the option to upgrade or expand channels at any time in the future without having to reinstall the VMS software.
