Churchill Group has renewed its contract with the University of Suffolk to continue providing cleaning and security services for an additional five years, with the possibility of extending the agreement for another one or two years. The contract renewal follows a competitive tender process.
Churchill has been delivering cleaning services to the university since 2011, while its subsidiary, Amulet, has handled security services since 2019. Both services will continue to be provided under the Churchill Group umbrella, with its range of specialised soft services being a contributing factor in securing the contract.
More than 60 cleaning and security staff will be responsible for maintaining four main campuses, with tasks including window cleaning, washroom services, pest control, water dispenser management, as well as CCTV monitoring and patrolling to ensure the safety of students and protect university assets.
Amulet initially secured the security contract five years ago, partly due to the positive relationship established through Churchill’s cleaning services. The contract extension reflects the continued success of the partnership, with the university citing Churchill’s reliable service delivery, innovative methods, and flexibility as important factors in the decision.
