Corps Security Awarded Bruce House Contract by Salvation Army Homes

Corps Security has secured a contract to provide guarding services at Bruce House, a supported housing scheme operated by Salvation Army Homes in Westminster.

Under the agreement, two dedicated security officers will be stationed at the site, supported by a wider relief and cover team. Consultancy and intelligence support will also be delivered through Corps Intel.

The appointment follows previous work undertaken by Corps Security at Bruce House and reflects the company’s experience within the supported accommodation sector.

Bruce House provides supported housing for vulnerable residents, with safeguarding and welfare considerations forming a key part of the security requirement. Corps Security said its officers assigned to the site receive training focused on empathy, safeguarding awareness and the specific demands of supported housing environments.

Salvation Army Homes cited Corps Security’s social enterprise model, Veteran Owned Business accreditation and experience supporting vulnerable communities as factors in the award decision.

Philip Smith, Regional Manager, London and South East for Salvation Army Homes, said:
“Security at a supported housing site requires more than physical presence. Corps’ community-focused approach reflects our values and high level of care. Their experience at Bruce House and commitment to the people they serve made them the right choice going forward.”

Chester Barnes, Security Solutions Manager at Corps Security, said:
“As a social enterprise, we share a philosophy with Salvation Army Homes to support and reinvest in the communities we serve. Together, we will run Bruce House with empathy and understanding at the forefront. We are excited to explore what this partnership can grow into.”

Founded in 1959, Salvation Army Homes manages more than 4,100 homes across England. The organisation provides supported accommodation, general needs housing and homes for older people.
