Corps Security has announced that it has been awarded the contract to provide essential security provisions for the ExxonMobil Fawley Refinery and Chemical Plant.
Corps Security were successful in the competitive bid for the contract based on the stringent ExxonMobil Procurement process. Corps’ team visited the Fawley site to understand the complex nature of the security provisions. The Fawley site is designated part of the critical national infrastructure, responsible for supply of 20% of the UK’s fuel requirements, so it was essential that the security provider understood the complexities and operational needs of the contract.
The 5-year contract will see 46 colleagues transfer to the Corps Security team with immediate effect. Andy Topp, Sales and Marketing Director at Corps Security, commented on the contract award: “ExxonMobil have a critical role to play in the national infrastructure of the country, so we are pleased that the customer noticed the efforts of our team to understand the needs of the site. We are delighted to be working with them and welcome our new colleagues to the team too.”
A spokesperson from ExxonMobil said: “Corps were the successful bidder out of the eight security companies that were invited to tender. We look forward to working with the Corps team, to ensure that our Site Security team remain motivated and have the best possible opportunities to progress in their careers.”
