FGH Security Ltd was announced as the ACS Champion of the Year 2010 at the Security Excellence Awards held in London on Thursday [21 Oct].
Lancaster-based FGH first achieved approved contractor status in May 2006 and is currently approved by the SIA for door supervision, key holding, security guarding and vehicle immobilisation. The judges praised the company’s engagement with the SIA, its partnership approach and its promotion of the ACS.
This is the second award the company has won at the Security Excellence Awards after winning Best Practice in Door Supervision in 2009.
SIA Chairman Baroness Ruth Henig said: “FGH are deserved winners as they actively support the ACS through their internal and external communications, using the scheme to help drive customer innovation and staff development.”
FGH managing director Peter Harrison said: “The FGH team are very proud to be taking an award home for the second year running and our thanks are passed on to our many stakeholders and the judges. I would also like to congratulate the many other finalists, as I know there is some terrific work being done right across the industry. FGH Security has always been proud to hold SIA approved contractor status and it has now been an integral part of our company for nearly six years. I have witnessed the industry undergo massive positive changes over recent years, and standards improving again and again.”
