Former Wimbledon head of security to speak at IFSEC 2010

G4S Secure Solutions (UK), part of the international security solutions provider G4S plc, will be a key speaker at IFSEC 2010, the world’s leading annual security event, in Birmingham 10 – 13 May. The event, to be held at Birmingham’s NEC, is aimed at uniting over 25,000 security professionals with more than 600 of the world’s leading companies.  This event will be “the meeting place” for those looking to source security solutions and those looking to network with peers.

Richard Oxborrow, G4S’s Security Solutions Architect, will be speaking at the event. The former Wimbledon Championships Coordinator and Head of Security at The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, home of The Wimbledon Championships, will address delegates on the issue of integrated security solutions.

“Over the years, the security needs of companies have become increasingly complex and demanding.  My 17 years at Wimbledon taught me that an integrated security solution is what’s required to deal with these complex and demanding security situations” says Oxborrow. Traditionally known for its cash and guarding services, G4S also provides a range of integrated security solutions and this is “perhaps the security industry’s best kept secret!” suggests Oxborrow.  He adds: “fully integrated services must be the way forward, both in the private and, more and more, the public sector”.

G4S’s integrated security solutions offering includes the following: security services, risk management, audit and compliance, facilities management, technology solutions, secure logistics and support of the public sector.  These integrated security solutions often lead to both cost and efficiency benefits for clients.
