G4S Assessment Services, one of the UK’s leading assessment, consultancy and training businesses has won the rebid to continue to provide the Ministry of Justice with specialist induction training for its new Advisory Committee members, who select and appoint magistrates.
The renewed contract will ensure that approximately 750 committee members receive specialist training over a three year period commencing January 2011. The training, which covers the uniqueness of interviewing for the Magistracy, developing the appropriate interviewing skills and how to record reliable evidence, must be completed before a member can complete interviews to select magistrates.
Incorporating course administration, design, delivery and venue management the contract will see the deployment of 19 G4S personnel at venues nationwide.
Simon Murphy, Managing Director, Assessment Services commented: “We are delighted to secure this contract with the Ministry of Justice and build on the productive, open and honest partnership we have forged with them over the last four years. We are looking forward to building on our continued provision of high levels of support and services to ensure the Ministry continues to deliver the highest quality of service while achieving the efficiencies required by the current economic climate”
