3 December 2010 – G4S Secure Solutions (UK) (‘G4S’), part of the world’s largest secure solutions group congratulates Russia and Qatar on their selection as the host nations for the 2018 and 2022 Football World Cups. G4S is already a significant provider of security solutions in Russia and Qatar and hopes to work with organisations in both host nations to provide the highest level of safety and security at World Cup venues before and during both tournaments.
As an official ‘Back the bid’ supporter for England’s 2018 World Cup bid, G4S provided wide-ranging support to the English bid team; from technical security advice to the secure delivery of England’s bid to the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich.
