G4S Secure Solutions (UK) (‘G4S’), the UK’s leading security company, will be hosting a seminar in Glasgow that will see some of the industry’s leading authorities come together to discuss the current security challenges facing Scotland. The aim of the seminar is to outline the benefits of a partnership approach between public and private sector organisations and it will feature high profile speakers from the worlds of policing, government and private security.
The seminar will be hosted by G4S in celebration of its 75th Anniversary at Scotland’s national football stadium, Hampden Park, Glasgow on Tuesday 26 October. Running alongside the seminar will be a discrete exhibition showcasing the range of services G4S offers.
Speaking at the seminar will be Patrick Toyne-Sewell, Corporate Affairs Director, G4S UK and Ireland, Angela Wilson, Assistant Chief Constable, Tayside Police, Alan Dobie, Executive Director, Scottish Business Crime Centre, Michael Orr, Detective Superintendent, Strathclyde Police and Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister for Community Safety (TBC). There will also be an opportunity to network and take part in a Q&A session at the end of the seminar.
Jack Craig, Director for Scotland, G4S Secure Solutions (UK), said: “Organisations are exposed to an ever increasing number of risks to their safety and security and are frequently targeted by a diverse range of threats from activists to the more criminally minded. The impact of not providing adequate protection against these threats can result in serious consequences such as theft and property damage to injury or even loss of life.
“Taking into account the current financial strain on businesses and public spending, the seminar aims to outline how a partnership approach between the public and private sector may be pivotal to offsetting spending whilst continuing to uphold crime prevention strategies.”
Places are strictly limited, so all those who would like to attend the complimentary seminar are requested to email securityexperts@uk.g4s.com.
