Security specialist GMS Group has been awarded a contract to provide support to global real estate leader Colliers. Colliers, a prominent company in corporate real estate services and investment management, has chosen GMS Group as its partner in the West Midlands region.
Under the agreement, GMS will offer security services to significant sites such as Birmingham Wholesale Market, Mercia Park in Swadlincote, Red Rose Shopping Centre in Sutton Coldfield, Old Square Shopping Centre in Walsall, and the Castle Mill office block in Dudley. Additionally, GMS will be responsible for securing car parks and industrial estates.
The range of services provided by GMS will include manned guarding, mobile patrols, property opening and locking, key-holding, and inspections of vacant properties.

Simon Williams, who recently rejoined GMS after working for the security specialist for five years until August 2022, will lead the partnership with Colliers. He has been appointed as the National Contracts Director, a newly created role aimed at strengthening the GMS leadership team for their upcoming growth phase. During his previous tenure, Williams primarily focused on contracts for JLR and the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The Colliers contract success follows a period of extended growth for GMS. The company’s achievements include providing successful support for the Commonwealth Games and securing several new clients.
