ISS Facility Services is delighted to announce that it has recently been awarded the contract to provide security and cleaning services to the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC), a centre of the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
Based in South Mimms, Hertfordshire, NIBSC is a multi-disciplinary scientific establishment whose purpose is to safeguard and enhance public health by standardising and controlling biological substances used in medicines. This means that high levels of vigilance coupled with exemplary hygiene are paramount.
A team of eight security officers will provide a constant 24 hour presence on-site, with a receptionist covering weekday office hours, providing the high levels of customer service that visitors to this busy site expect.
Seven operatives will provide general and periodic cleaning, with certain areas of the building benefiting from a more specialised service, to preserve the cleanliness of a site of this nature.
Michael Carre, ISS Facility Services Security Managing Director commented:
“We are delighted to have been selected to provide security and cleaning to NIBSC and play a key role in providing a clean and safe environment for the staff who carry out this strategically important work. This clearly demonstrates the value that our clients place on our house of services ethos.”
