Land Sheriffs, a specialist security provider for the rail industry, has announced the promotion of James Coyle to Managing Director. With over two decades of experience in the security sector, the company offers services that include protecting land and infrastructure, on-train security, and crime prevention. Their operations are supported by a 24-hour CCTV monitoring center and a team of skilled professionals providing mobile patrols and manned guarding across rail networks and other public and commercial locations.
James Coyle steps into the role after five years as Head of Operations, during which his leadership and expertise significantly contributed to the company’s success. The outgoing Managing Director, Tyler LeMay, will now serve as CEO, expressing confidence in Coyle’s ability to lead the organization through its next phase of growth.
Under new leadership, Land Sheriffs plans to refine its strategic focus, including enhancing its marketing efforts, pursuing industry accreditations, and advancing sustainability initiatives. These developments align with the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards of security while prioritizing passenger safety.
As the holiday season approaches, the firm is gearing up to address increased risks associated with trespassing, graffiti, and anti-social behavior, ensuring the rail network remains safe and secure for all users.
Of the promotion, James Coyle Said, “I’m really excited to be taking the reins as Managing Director, following Tyler’s successful tenure as he steps into a new strategic role as CEO” says James Coyle, Land Sheriffs’ new Managing Director. “My goal is to ensure that we continue delivering high-level security services to our clients, prioritising passenger safety and keeping trains moving.”
James Coyle takes over senior leadership responsibilities for the firm from Tyler LeMay, who has been Managing Director for the last 10 years and is now stepping into the role of CEO.
“I’m pleased to be passing on the role of Managing Director into James’ very capable hands! While I focus on developing the business as CEO, it will be great to work alongside James as we ensure the business runs smoothly and align our strategic objectives and goals” says Tyler LeMay, CEO of Land Sheriffs.
As Managing Director of Land Sheriffs, James Coyle will oversee the company’s overall success by driving strategic initiatives, implementing operational improvements, identifying new business opportunities, and focusing on long-term objectives.
In addition to these responsibilities, he plans to introduce a refreshed marketing strategy, pursue industry accreditations, and advance sustainability efforts, all while maintaining the high-quality service that clients have come to expect.
“There are lots of exciting developments on the horizon for Land Sheriffs, not least in the run-up to the busy festive period. We’ve successfully completed our audit for our Railway Safety Accreditation Scheme (RSAS), as well as stage one of our ISO 14001 accreditation. Plus, we’re continuing to work on achieving carbon neutrality to meet our sustainability goals” adds James.
For two decades, Land Sheriffs has provided security solutions to protect land, property, and infrastructure across Britain.
With the festive season approaching, James Coyle will lead the team in addressing seasonal challenges such as increased route crime, graffiti, trespassing, and anti-social behavior, ensuring their high-level security services continue to meet client needs.
“One of my main priorities in the coming months, and beyond, is ensuring we remain committed to delivering our company values of respect, innovation, collaboration and integrity. Our team leads the way in providing a platinum service by working diligently and positively with the public and I look forward to growing that reputation” concludes James.
