Maarten van Engeland has been named new head of ISS in the Netherlands and is leaving his position as head of ISS Denmark to return to The Netherlands after more than 30 years in different management positions in Denmark and the Baltic countries. Maarten is replacing Peter van der Vorm. Maarten has been Country Manager for ISS Denmark since 2007.
Maarten van Engeland, new Country Manager for ISS in The Netherlands said: ” While I’m sad to be leaving ISS Denmark, I’m very much looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities. There is certainly a lot of similarities between ISS Denmark and ISS in The Netherlands, but there are also many differences, including the size, as our Dutch business has more than twice as many employees as our Danish business. Together with the management team it is my ambition to turn our business in the Netherlands into one of the most successful businesses in The Netherlands.”
Maarten has already commenced in his new job and the current CFO for ISS Denmark, Flemming Bendt, has replaced Maarten as Country Manager for ISS Denmark on an interim basis until a new Country Manager has been appointed.
Flemming Bendt is a well-experienced ISS executive. He started with ISS in 1998 as group controller at the Group Head Quarters in Copenhagen, and he has since had different leadership roles with ISS in The Netherlands, Belgium and Australia. Flemming Bendt became CFO for ISS Denmark in July 2008.
