MAN Commercial Protection, which delivers security guarding, concierge services, CCTV monitoring, keyholding, and large-scale event support, has entered into a three-year agreement with the National League club. The firm will provide security for all 23 home league matches and cup competitions.
The Solihull-based company will create 30 new part-time stewarding roles and supply SIA-licensed response teams, CCTV control operators, supervisors, and an event manager.
The partnership will commence with the Birmingham City home friendly on July 16 for the Arthur Cup. It will also involve collaboration between the two organisations to raise funds for the Solihull Moors Foundation.
“We have a rich history of supporting high profile boxing and sporting events but have never before entered into a partnership with a football club – it seems fitting that the first one is with our hometown club Solihull Moors,” explained Iain McCallister, CEO and founder of MAN Commercial Protection.
“Chairman Darryl Eales and I have known each other for some time and have started to forge closer ties through our joint involvement with the Solihull Chamber of Commerce. We got talking about next season’s security arrangements and how we would look after it, including some high-profile fixtures with big away followings. In short, the partnership made perfect sense.”
He continued: “We are keeping training local too, with the 30 new part-time stewards we’re recruiting set to complete their Stewarding NVQ Level 2 training at Solihull College.”
In addition to its operational role, MAN Commercial Protection has signed a three-year commercial sponsorship with the club, acquiring naming rights for the East Stand, which will be renamed ‘The MAN Commercial Protection Stand’ before the new season.
Both parties have expressed an interest in using their partnership to support the Solihull Moors Foundation. The Foundation works with disadvantaged individuals and groups, delivering programmes aimed at improving well-being, social inclusion, and life opportunities. This includes initiatives to develop employment skills, build support networks to reduce social isolation, and enhance mental health through sport, education, and mentoring. The Foundation also plans to expand the use of Damson Park’s facilities as safe and inclusive spaces for vulnerable individuals.
Darryl Eales, Chairman of Solihull Moors FC, concluded: “We are really pleased to appoint local company MAN Commercial Protection as our Official Safety and Security Partner.
“They bring so many different skills and so much big event experience to the table yet, most importantly, they are passionate about Solihull and the areas we serve. This was really important for us and, together, I believe we can have an even bigger impact on the place we both call home.”
