MITIE, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcer, has extended its security contract with Citi, the global bank, for the second time to secure its UK and Ireland property portfolio.
The three year contract was awarded to MITIE’s Total Security Management business following its initial win in 2009 through a competitive tender process.
MITIE was awarded the contract in part due to its strategic partnership with Global Aware International, a provider of security and intelligent software solutions.
Global Aware’s GIIRP Merlin software will enable Citi to integrate its corporate arrangements, procedures and records into a single highly effective, streamlined, and auditable bespoke system across Europe.
The system also has the added benefit of Travaware which assists its corporate travellers globally.
This system, combined with MITIE’s highly trained security personnel and established security partnership with Citi, will see them providing front of house security, meet and greet services and tenant liaison services to the bank.
