The total security management (TSM) business of MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has successfully achieved the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved centre status and can now deliver ILM qualifications.
Through delivering ILM accredited qualifications, MITIE is able to offer formal qualifications to its people, encouraging them to develop their skills, motivating them in their roles and creating desire to stay with MITIE thus giving clients stability in the teams they work with.
Part of the City & Guilds Group and a professional body, ILM are specialists in leadership and management development. They are the UK’s biggest awarding body for leadership and management with 2,500 approved centres in 51 countries. Over 90,000 managers take an ILM qualification each year.
This is an important progression for the TSM business whose risk-based approach to the provision and management of all security services is a truly integrated one; training and development is essential to retaining the best people in the industry to ensure that the delivery of people-based services matches the quality of its technology services in delivering world-class security to its clients.
MITIE TSM’s Training and Performance Specialist, Terry Cheese said:
“We went through a rigorous quality approval process to achieve ILM centre approval status and I am absolutely delighted with our accomplishment. We are very proud of the training that we design and deliver, so to now be able to offer qualifications with our Team Leading in MITIE course and 21st Century Leadership course is fantastic. It’s a real step forward in our training and development evolution and a testament to our passion and dedication for developing people.”
Bob Forsyth, Managing Director, MITIE Total Security Management added:
“In a business where people are so important we are committed to developing them to exceed the standards expected by our clients. ”
