Pilgrims has appointed Peter Kaye, a former security adviser and business continuity manager at the Bank of England, to help grow and build on the excellent work already established by the group.
Kaye previously spent 23 years as a Royal Air Force Regiment Officer, rising to the rank of Wing Commander. He has a Masters of Arts degree in Defence and International Security Studies, and has developed UK international security policy in the Ministry of Defence Proliferation and Arms Control Secretariat. He also held the role of Group Head of Business Protection and Continuity at the John Lewis Partnership where he transformed security into a commercially focused ‘business protection’ function and established a converged strategic security risk governance framework to provide assurance to the Partnership Board on group resilience to security risk.
This wealth of experience will enable Kaye to work effectively in a Pilgrims leadership role that requires the progression of challenging business goals in a saturated and highly competitive environment.
Kaye said: “Having worked for several other iconic brands renowned for quality and service delivery, I am delighted to be joining Pilgrims at a time when there is such potential for further growth, and I plan to be a catalyst for that growth.”
The appointment of Kaye is an excellent addition to the highly experienced Pilgrims team. He will bring experience and knowledge that will play a key part in ensuring that Pilgrims both maintains and expands upon what Kaye refers to as “Pilgrims’ reputation of being an intelligent security supplier.”
Pilgrims’ Managing Director, Bill Freear, commented: “Peter’s in depth understanding and practical experience of what large corporate organisations require further strengthens Pilgrims’ ability to bring tangible benefits and business focussed solutions to our clients, increasing our value for money as an alternative to the larger companies in the market.”
